My Little Star Trek

Captain Scarlet Quill was sitting at the table next to a window, looking at countless stars. Even after years spent in space, the view of stars still was relaxing... Suddenly a humble beep of ship communication system buzzed from speakers. Someone on the ship was calling to their captain.

Quill sighed, stood up and walked towards a small communication terminal pinned to wall next to a door. She pressed the button and said calmly, "Go ahead."

"Captain, we are being hailed by unknown source, somebody is asking for you. The message says the call is made by a friend." Being surprised for a few moments, Quill held her breath.

"Put it through on terminal in my cabin," she replied.

She then turned back and focused her eyes on a hologram emitter, located in the middle of her room, surrounded by two curved desks filled with buttons and scanners. 

In the next second the emitter started to glow, a subtle blue cone appeared. There was a hooded figure standing inside the cone. The figure somehow seemed familiar, but the face of the stranger was hidden in shadow casted by hood. 

She decided to start first. "I'm Scarlet Quill, the Captain of the scientific ship; Enterprise. We represent the Star Fleet of planet Earth. And you?" Instead of answering, the hooded person raised their hand and removed the hood.

Eyes of Scarlet were still widening as she squeaked with joy. She recognized the person instantly. With a wide smile on the face, the person continued with an exhausted voice.

"And I am Sea Walker, the one who walks in the Sea. Live long and prosper, Captian Quill." She said parting her middle and ring finger in the Vulcan peace sign.

The glowing cone blinked and the figure disappeared for a moment, bleeping noises went from the speakers. The image showed again, but with pixelly interferences. Sea Walker must've been somewhere far away, or was someone trying to jam her transmition?

"No-no-no! Don't break so fast, you stupid piece of junk!" Sea Walker leaned towards something, whispering loud enough for Quill to hear. Walker then brought something what looked as improvised antenna into a cone, and passed it to someone outside. 

"Put it up on that hill, Dee, or we're screwed,"

"Aren't we screwed already? Just send her the coordinates before this thing dies," a familiar voice answered.

"Right," Walker turned back to Scarlet. "Listen, Quill, we're in trouble. We're stuck on some dusty planet called Meelanoh. I'm sending you our coordinates. Our ship is molded against the surface from when we crash landed, and locals do not seem to be friendly because we ruined one of theirs 'sacred' places." to illustrate what she said, Walker pulled the side of her brown colored robe. 

Quill noticed several blaster holes, and bit her lip, worrying. 

Walker continued. "Don't worry, we're..." she tried to smile, "having quite a nice time between our attempts to survive." Suddenly the hologram went upside down and a face of Deeplie appeared,

"Don't listen to her, we're dying here. Please come and get us out of..." she did not finish, while the hologram went right-side up again, and Walker appeared. 

She inhaled in intention to say something, but suddenly her eyes widened and she end up with scream instead. "Oh no, they've found us! Deeplie, we must..." A few blaster shots flew through the hologram cone, nearly hitting Sea Walker's robe. She quickly fished her blaster from the folds of her robe and gave two blind shots somewhere. She then leaned to Scarlet through the hologram and said "Sea Walker, out!" and the emitter went silent.

Scarlet had no breath after what she saw. Yet she pressed the communicator button, "Steelheart, prepare to lay on new course..."

This was a little idea that a good friend of mine wrote up. I changed a few things about it though; the ship was more to my personal design, I moved it to the helm instead of in the captain's quarters, SeaWalker is not wearing a hood and instead of a ColaCat ponysona, I used Scarlet Quill instead. I hope you enjoy it!!! I also mildly re-wrote the story so it fit with the picture and charcters in it.
